Senegal  is a country in West Africa, on the Atlantic Ocean coastline.

Senegal is bounded to the north and northeast by the Senegal River, which separates it from Mauritania; to the east by Mali; to the south by Guinea and Guinea-Bissau; and to the west by the Atlantic Ocean.

Dakar, the capital, is by far the largest and most populated city in Senegal, the second most populous city is holy city of Touba.

More than half of Senegal’s population is under the age of 25 , Senegal has a large and growing youth population.
Permanent urban settlement has significantly increased and now makes up close to half of the population.
